Bavarian State Opera, Munich

With the Apollon Foyers, the Bavarian State Opera is opening a new meeting place where art and everyday life intersect in the heart of Munich. For the bespoke project furnishings in this historic setting, mūller developed custom-made fire-resistant furniture made of stainless steel.
Thanks to many years of expertise in working with steel and stainless steel, the result is furniture with a functional design for a versatile cultural space: sideboards for books and magazines, cupboards for props, and storage solutions for headphone stations – all mobile and flexible in use.
The minimalist design serves as a calming element within the Baroque architecture, whilst the aesthetic stainless steel, as a fire-resistant material, simultaneously meets the specific safety requirements of the listed building.
